CAARDvarks Saturday Sketch #7 2 of 2

Well this is my last post and it's so late or I should say... so's 2:35 am. I've been with my twin sissy all day so didn't have much time to work on any cards. I really am in awe with all the creative entries at CAARDvards and I can't wait to see who wins some of the great prizes.
Have a great weekend! Hugs,Kathy

CAARDvarks Saturday Sketch #7 1 of 2

This sketch was the hardest for me for some reason although it has been a fun week working with wonderful sketches. This stamp is one of the new clings stamps at Hero Arts .

CAARDvarks Friday Sketch #6

I had to make a B.D. card for my twin sissy and today 's sketch for CAARDvarks was perfect for the stamps I wanted to use on her card. I knew I wanted the 3 squares in the sketch to be triptych so I cut the vase with sunflowers into thirds. For the pattern on the sofa and the rug I stamped with some of Hero Art's new stamps. The chair, lamp and table are from PapertreyInk. The maroon leopard paper is from the backside of a Neiman Marcus ad. I made the fringes on the rug from embroidery floss. I hope you all have a great weekend. This 7 day challenge is coming to a close and it's really been fun! Thanks for checking our my blog :)

CAARDvarks Thursday Sketch #5

This card was very difficult to photograph and it's late at night. Click on the Flickr slideshow to see it more clear there. (So annoying) Anyway This was inspired by is her card. ""> huh!! I had some butterflies leftover from my Tuesday Tipsters so with that and remembering Virginia's card...I had a plan for Thursday's sketch at CAARDvarks. Just needed the time. I hope Virginia's card link works ...sorry ..I need to learn how to give a link properly so maybe after this 7 day challenge I'll have a minute. Have a great weekend! Hugs,Kathy

Sketch #4- Wednesday for CAARDvarks

These are the new stamps from Hero Arts and I love them both. The flower is from one of the new clings & the mouse is a wood block stamp. I printed on the background."I'm late for a very important date" and the "Happy Belated B.D." Four more days to go for this challenge. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Sketch #3- Tuesday for CAARDvarks

I was working on this card earlier today and ran out of time.Tonight I decided to try and finish it up. It's more loosely based on the sketch for today. TFL :)

Sketch #3- Tuesday for CAARDvarks

I don't know why the photos on my blog aren't very crisp but, here it is. This card is tall 8.5 x's so hard for me to make a small card. The flowers are from PapertreyInk. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,Kathy

Tuesday Tipster #2

Launch of "Tuesday's Tips"

Last week I was making a bunch of cards with hearts and I really wanted to share how I made these hearts so I made a tip sheet. Yesterday I thought it would be fun to have a "Tuesday's Tips" every Tuesday... right here on my blog. So I'm hoping that you all will find my tips useful and that just maybe they will inspire you and improve your cards. What a better way to launch a new idea then to offer up some blog candy. Since I'm sharing my tips this particular Monday I'm going to ask you to stop by tomorrow, Tuesday and I'll share my blog candy and the details. I would also like to thank all my Flickr friends for there support and wonderful comments that keep my creativity pumped up!! See you tomorrow!

Last Challenge for CAARDvarks

For the challenge at CAARDvarks you need to use one of their card sketches and this is the one that really works the most for me. If you scroll down you'll see that I love this "sketch" All stamps are Hero Arts. I'll have the numbers to the stamps in my Flickr gallery so you can just click on the right to get more info. Don't you love the buttons...they are vintage. Thanks for visiting!

Sending Love Your Way for the CAARDvarks Challenge

I stamped two backgrounds on this and embossed, distressed and inked. The butterfly is stamped in glue, then I added glitter and put a thick coat of Glossy Accents on the entire butterfly. I love my vintage buttons on this card and I'm almost out. I would recommend you check out your grandmas sewing box! Have a great weekend! Hugs,Kathy

Different card...same challenges! Have a great weekend!

What'z UP?

For this card I combined Hero Arts challenge this week with Caardvarks challenge. Have a great day! Hugs,Kathy

I Was a Wednesday Wonder

Hello Everyone,
I hope things are going well with fall rolling in with cool weather. A few weeks back I was chosen as a "Wednesday Wonder" Here is the link for the interview.
Deborah is a hoot and you will enjoy her writing style. I think it's a matter of time before she's writing for some craft magazine.
Hope you enjoy it!
Working on some cards for later.

A Little Bird Told Me......

The challenge over at Hero Arts this week is to make a card that's manley! School just started so it's been real hard to find any time. I just had to get some time in so I stayed up till 2am to make this. So much fun creating this suit....I have fond memories of my dad coming home from work in his suit. Love the smell. So I made this for him. Thanks for visiting and I always am so grateful for your comments ...however not necessary! Many Hugs,Kathy

Barry Dixon Interiors by Brian Coleman

Just a quick post. A few days ago we received this fantastic four star design book in the mail. I was so excited to get this great gift and wanted to make a special Thank You card. Here is the link for the book .
That's it for now. Enjoy the weather.Hugs,Kathy

Just playing last night. Just a fun card to make with some previously colored images except the background.

I entered this card for the challenge over at CAARDvarks. The challenge is to create a card using only bright pink, black and white and yes that is a bit of a challenge for me. The biggest part was NOT to color anything on the card. Have a sunny day! Kathy
Here are the deets on the card.
Hero Arts vine # CL32 (Friendship set),PapertreyInk damask set and Raspberry Fiz pp,Martha Stewart Punch &Black Pearls.
I stamped the damask in Versamark and embossed in clear for the background. The image stamped on hot pink pp and cut out the flowers. Then I cut the same boarder in black and white and layered. The final touch was putting down 66 black pearls. I trimed the glue off each one....I don't like it when you can see that trail of glue bits around the pearls.
