Here is my blog hop card. Who wouldn't love this Penny Black image?

Just say Boo

This grey background happened by accident.

Just say Boo

See how I wrapped the hat? I wanted to use a ribbon but, then you would see the lines.
Just say Boo

I will have more details at the bottom of my post on this card.

Now you want to hop over to to Jen Martakis (a Two Peas Digital Designer!) who I so admire. Here is Jen's blog to visit next in the hop.

Here is my card for our "Trio Challenge" I can't wait to see Jennifer's card here and Lucy's card here. Thanks for your sweet comments on the three of us teaming up. It's just as exciting for me :)

I have such a difficult time adding sentiments  and  I just couldn't find the right spot on this card. Maybe because I went nuts with the dots on this one. I wanted for it to look like water splashes.

Here is a close up of the images and the moon. I flipped the whale (see the one on the right) and the same whale has two smudges on it. I decided to keep it because whales always have markings on them. Notice the textured look on the whales...that is done with a rag and Copic's blending solution.

I will post details at the end of this post. Now for this next card there is a short story. I made my card for the challenge and thought I was finished. A few days later checked the details of our challenge and realized I needed to design a card with the WHALE ...not the dolphins so back to the ink pad.

This was the first but, wrong card. By the way these images you can find here by "Lawn Fawn" I just love them and they are so easy to color.

Just Wavin" Hello

This is where I discovered how I love the dots on this dry embossing

This will be very basic. Email me if you have questions. Thanks :)

“Just say Boo” card
Distress your shape with stormy sky then a little on the edges with black soot. Stamp with stars in black ink. The splatter dots were created by accident when I cleaned up my craft mat with a wet wipe and laid my background on top. It picked up the liquid and ink...I liked the look so I recreated it to fill in the background. Add white dots to accent the stars. Stamp image with and color with copics. Paper is from Pink Paisley.

Whale card
To flip the whale all you do is stamp on the white paper, cut the image out and turn the image over. On the "back" trace the outline so it now looks like a stamped image. You can hold it to the light to see where the eyes and mouth should be traced.
I started with baby blue paper for the bottom panel. I inked up the embossing folder with
faded jeans  THEN I placed my paper inside the folder and put it through my cuttlebug. After the ink dried on the paper I added white dots. For the purple strip I used labels five and colored with copic makers (V04, V06) after cutting the waves with fiskars punch I used a heavy hand and distressed it with faded jeans.

Dolphin card
For the background ... I distressed it first with tumbled glass then with broken china. I start out in the corners making swirl motions and keep adding color the same way. Try to keep a spot in the middle that doesn’t get inked as much. Then add the darker distress ink to give the background more depth. Once dry put in your embossing folder add white dots to your hearts content. Images are stamped with memento tuxedo black ink then colored with copic makers.
See you tomorrow. Thanks so much for stopping by. Hugs,Kathy
