A few more wintery cards

Hello, today I'm back to share two very quick cards. We had a change in plans and Thanksgiving will be at my house so...I have to get very organized. Penny Black is going to have an exciting week with fantastic projects so I hope you will visit PB blog daily so you don't miss a thing.

Another one of Penny Black's stickers. Can you believe that this snowman is a sticker? I stuck the snowman to white cards stock then cut him out for some dimension.Check out the sticker sheet here.  I used my favorite embossing folder again and stamped the snow flakes inside. It's amazing what a white dot will do.

Sorry for the bad photo here. I love this wood block stamp. After embossing the bottom of the background I added white pen to the embossed dots. I also cut out the opening in the mail slot.
I'm off and I would love to hear about your Thanksgiving plans. See you tomorrow ... Hugs, Kathy

Gift Card Holder

Caardvarks has a new challenge and a new sponsor too. Check out their blog here to get all of the details and the inspiration. The DT was asked to create a gift card holder.

Just untie the bow and the doors will open up to a gift card. Isn't this girl the cutest. I replaced the  sheet of paper she was holding with a long gift list. The best paper to use is copy paper because it's thin and rolls easily.   More card details at the bottom of the post.

These vintage buttons are were perfect to wrap twine around for the closure.

If you want to draw fishnet tights I will list the perfect pen for fine detail work in the supply list.

The full reveal.

 A Dream is a wish ...
Here is another adorable image from MFT. For some reason I wanted to put her bedroom outside like she's in a dream. Lots of white pen action in this card.

I "googled" "photos of childrens books" and dragged the image into word, sized and printed it to make the book.

Have you seen this ""? I love it!  This mini  board is the perfect size for card makers. Not only is it compact, scores a perfect line and the non skid platform is second to none. I used to score my card stock with my paper trimmer but, the paper would always move and I wouldn't get a good clean edge. You can the Scor it All here
Sorry I got sidetracked :) Cut your card stock to 7x4 3/4. Start at each end and score each side 2 3/4 from the outside edges.

Cut the inside paper to 4 1/2 x 5 1/4 and another to a similar size. Punch a half circle.

Cut your panels and add stitching if you like.

Assemble your layers and add pop dots to the girl and her head. Here is the link to "My Favorite Things"  and their blog here.
Thanks for all of your warm comments yesterday. If you are visiting for the first time you might want to put your name on this list.
Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Kathy

Peace...the last day and a NEW giveaway to thank YOU!

Hello Friends,
You all were so nice to stop by the Penny Black blog to support me yesterday and I was really touched.... and glowing !!
To show my gratitude I am giving away the stamp and card below.  I will draw a winner before Thanksgiving.
I will put your name in a hat for each comment that you left here, at the Penny blog or both  from each comment you made from day 1, day 2 and day3 just to show my appreciation :)
So instead of leaving a comment here I would love for you to stop by the Penny Black blog if it's not your regular stop. All comments will go in the "basket".

Below are my last cards to share that were in the catalog and it was so fun to finally show them to you!

I stamped the holly background with some ink and colored the holly in. I cut the hair like a wig or sort of like grass.

I wanted her sheet music to look worn and old.

I love how this angel can be used for any occasion.

Another stamped background. I outlined the stars with a yellow marker.

I don't leave home without my blush and that's why you will notice all of my faces have very rosy cheeks....just like me :)

Did you know that PB has stickers. This card below is ALL stickers. You can see them here. I mounted the stickers on white paper then cut them out. I like how the white boarder makes the sticker images pop.

By the way have you put your name on this giveaway list here?
Thanks again for all of you support I really appreciate it!!!! Have a great weekend. Hugs, Kathy
