Hello Friends, Did you get a pit in your stomach or leap for joy? Yup you read it right ....NO copics IN THIS POST. I finally had a moment to sit down and try something that I have been wanting to do for months. Before we get started I have to tell you I love this paper from bazzill. I LOVE IT ...love the texture and it's great to spray with perfect pearls. SRM is featuring some great card designs with this versatile paper. I hope you can check it out.

You can see the sheen on the flowers and on the bottom of the paper. I sprayed the blue card base, flowers and leaves with the perfect pearls. They have the prettiest sparkle and I love how the paper stood up to the heat gun. These flowers were cut after I stamped the flowers and colored them. Below I share how I did it.

Here is another card I made with the exact same stamp, perfect pearls and Tomo markers. I am still getting used to these markers but, I was thrilled that I was able to get a nice water colored effect. The photo below allows you to see the yummy perfect pearls.

To begin you want to start with water color paper and stamp on the smoother side of the paper. I inked my stamp with VersaFine then embossed with superfine clear embossing powder. (all supplies listed below)

I am experimenting with these markers and picked up some rather dark colors to play with. I was determined to make them work. The colors weren't blending well so I soaked it with perfect pearls.

The colors were still not blending....so I soaked and literally drenched the paper some more. I took a brush to move some of the colors on the edges into the center and waited for it to dry. I look forward to learning more and will be happy to share any tips with you.
For the first card I did the same technique but, with the blue markers and lavender.
I have to give you all a big thanks for leaving such sweet warm comments all week! You won't see another post until Monday and I hope to visit your blogs this weekend. In the mean time have a great weekend. Hugs, Kathy
