Save your lunch doily

Hello Friends, Well I guess you can only save your lunch doily IF they serve you with one. At National Airport  I had time to sit down and have a salad before my airplane took off. Under my veggies was this beautiful doily. If the waitress wasn't so busy I would have asked her for a few extra. Now I wish I had been more patient to score more of these dainty doilys!

I created this for Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week which is "Mother's Day, Girlie with Basic Grey" Here is the blog link to see what the talented DT has created. Don't forget a random winner is selected each week for a $50.00 gift certificate!! So generous!

Mothers Day
The first thing I did was distress the white doily with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I glued it on some blue paper and added some white lines with my fav gel pen and some pearls to the outside. The center papers are Basic Grey called "Hopscotch" . I love the cross word pattern on the upside down flower pot and decided to add some shading on the paper with this brown Copic maker. (others are listed in the supplies at the bottom of my post) To color the hedgehog from Penny Black I used Copic markers.

Mothers Day

The center of the flower is a new thing for me and I thrilled with it. I mixed two Flower Soft colors. This and this one and expect to see lots more of this. Just a warning.

I have some exciting news!!!!!!! When I was looking for my flower soft link I found my magic scissors here that I have been searching for ONE YEAR (because I need a spare) !!!!!!!!!!!! Once you get use to them they will change your life...or rather how you cut!!!! I just ordered THREE MORE!! YAY this is big news for me and just had to share with you!!

If you are interested I have three different cards that I made with this Penny Black transparent set called "Wonderful Day" Here, here & here.
Have a great day! Hugs, Kathy
