quick and simple birthday card

Happy Birthday

Hello Friends, I am so happy it's finally Friday and I am ready for a weekend...what about you?  Today I have a super quick and easy Birthday card. I created a window with this Spellbinder die and colored the cupcake with some Copic Markers. I love the Martha Stewart punch that punches three butterflies at one time. I used a glue pen and applied glitter to each butterfly, Add a few gems and you are done :) Quick, easy and simple!
Happy Birthday

This cupcake stamp is from a Halloween transparent set from Penny Black...but, don't let that scare will find yourself using these cupcakes all year. I will be back in a few days with another cupcake that doesn't have ANY calories. Have a great weekend! Hugs, Kathy
Card Supplies:

how about a card sketch?

Hello Friends, This week Penny Black brings you a card sketch to get your mojo going. Today my card is being featured on the blog.

When I saw the sketch I designed this card and ended up replacing it with today's butterfly card instead for the blog. I have been itching to use these beautiful butterflies dies from Spellbinders called, " Wonderful Wings"  They are worth every penny & as I like to say a great bang for your buck!! I can't wait to play more with them.  I started my card by die cutting the butterflies on white paper and "Labels One" from kraft paper.
Let yourself have some fun by playing around with the distress inks. Each butterfly was inked with a bright color on the edges and then some of the new "Twig" as a final inking.  Stamp the labels and butterflies with distress ink too. Layer, Pop and add gems. All the inks I used and stamps are below. Let me know if you have any questions. Have a good day :) Hugs, Kathy

Papercrafts Inspirations blog hop

Hello Friends, How is your weekend going? Are you feeling the crunch of colorful leaves under your feet??
A Gift
I am popping in today because Papercrafts Inspirations is having a blog hop and Penny Black is playing along. Cathy A. created an awesome shaker card on the Penny Black blog that is so incredibly clever....I think you will love it :). For my card I used lots papers in this beautiful 6x6 paper pad from Echo Park. I added some Spun Sugar distress ink to the edges of the papers to draw the eye in to the center of my card. On the wrapping paper I added one of the new Ranger colors called "Twig" that I just love!  After coloring her with Copic markers I stamped the dress with this background stamp (that I use ALL the time) .
Red stickles on her shoes and the holly give the card that extra shine that makes me happy. The sewing was quick and easy with Tim Holtz's ruler and the Sew Easy pad.
We are headed to the furniture market in North Carolina this weekend. I used to buy for a retail store about 25 years ago so it will be fun to go back and see how things have changed. Not near as fun as a stamping event. I hope your weekend is a good one & remember that I so appreciate that you take the time to stop by. Hugs, Kathy
