Moving Card
Hello Friends, How are you today?? Today's project you may have seen on the Penny Black Blog? PB is showcasing "anything but, a card" this!

When I say "moving" does it raise your blood pressure?? Moving is so stressful .... I thought I would create a  shadow box frame to cheer up a friend up & help remind her what's important.  She's always saying how important it is to take time for the little things therefore, I felt this applied to her situation before she moves, during and after.
My cloud is a little crooked..yikes! The GA wasn't dry when I took the photo so the cloud slipped :(
Moving Card
I was so excited to finally put this stamp press to use and I was so delighted and relieved that this "Victorian Home" fit so perfectly in the truck. All you have to do is stamp, color and cutout your images. Apply Glossy accents to wheels, windshield and the front  head light.
If you look closely you can see the reflection of my phone (camera) in most of these photos.... I tried several times in different areas and different ways without any success. The background is part of the "photo" that comes with the frame. I thought it was perfect starting point.       When I see a small frame on sale I purchase it for project on a rainy or snowy day.The clouds were attached with Glossy Accents and the images were attached with Scrap Dots
I almost forgot that I stamped extra shutters and used more Scrap Dots to attach them.I apologize for not having a list of Copic colors for you & I did use some Tombow markers on parts of the house.  The windows have a nice coat of Glossy Accents on them & look cool in person. Any questions?? Thank You again for your visit it's always appreciated. Hugs, Kathy

Create: Blog and Knife Rests

Hello Friends, Happy Monday to you. I have been wanting to share my knife rests with you for awhile now. Today I thought would be appropriate because the "Create:" blog is sharing how I like to use antiques in my studio.
Knife rests can be used to support your favorite cards, quotes, dinner menu's etc. Look in your local antique stores or  thrift stores and on line too.
You will find that when you entertain your friends or family that these will give your table that little something extra.
There were only two in this particular set... but,  I had to add them to my collection because the price was right.
You will find that these work wonderful in your scrap space and into your table settings. Stop by later in the week to see how I incorporated knife rests into my "Tablescapes" Thanks for your visit and a big thanks to the "Create:" blog for featuring my studio.
Have a great day! Hugs, Kathy

Tim Holtz distress inks give you that airbrushed look on a background

Hello Friends, How was your weekend and or Thanksgiving?? I really took some time away from the computer and crafting to spend time with family. My daughter, niece and I went shopping on Black Friday at 4:30 am!!  It's become a tradition that we enjoy & a great way to get started with the Christmas list.
After coloring the ornament I stamped it with this Penny Black cling stamp that I use all the time on backgrounds. Here is another card I created with this same stamp. Just popping in with a quick post today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Hugs, Kathy
This particular Spellbinder Die is only available at "Crafters Home"

Thanksgiving "Thank You" for YOU

Hello Friends, How are you today?? If you celebrate Thanksgiving or not you I think you know the meaning of what Thanksgiving is all about?..... Being Thankful, Grateful and a time of Reflection for some.
I want to take this opportunity to say that I am so thankful for you and I really truly appreciate you taking the time to stop by my blog from time to time or perhaps post to post. Whatever it is a big THANK YOU to you from me! Your support is really what gives me the incentive to keep me creating, sharing & blogging. I can't express to you what your continued support really means to me. I find it easier to color something than to find the right words (communicating is not my strenght) so I hope you really understand how grateful I am and I am speaking from my heart. I wish for you a very Happy Thanksgiving & I hope it's full of love, family or friends & good food. Speaking of food.... I have spend the last three days in the kitchen cooking for my boy who just came home from college. This photo was taken at the airport , he was up all night so he's nice and scruffy.
The photo is blurry but, I think I'm glad about that & I will get a better one of the family soon. After Thanksgiving my daughter, niece and I hit the BLACK FRIDAY SALES AT THE MALL.  It's always fun to see who's out and about and all the craziness. Did you know that Simon Says has their Black Friday sale on already??
My Favorite "Black Friday" Sale Items at Simon Says Stamp: Click here to see Tim Holtz, Heidi Swapp, Authentique etc..etc.

Here are some examples I created with the products listed above.
For  my vellum flowers I used this paper and for this card I used the other 6x6 paper pack. The cloud punch I have used here, here & here to name a few of the cards. I am afraid that it will be discontinued to be honest. This card I used with Penny Black's summer set and this, below are a few more examples and some of my Tombow projects.
( I just wanted to share that I really do love these products and Simon Says Stamp has no idea about this post. I just love sales :) by the way the sale ends Midnight Friday, November 25, 2011  EST
                                      Happy Thanksgiving!! Many Hugs, Kathy
