Thank You Anonymous

Hello Friends, It's me again :)
I want to dedicate this post to a very special lady !
I don't know who "she" is but, I hope she follows my blog?? I want to give her a bucket of hearts because she left me a wonderful gift certificate for me at my favorite LLS. I can't express how that gift really touched me and still warms my heart. She wanted to remain anonymous so hopefully she will know how grateful I am!! I purchase something special so that whenever I use it I will think of her gift & how it will continue to give me those warm feelings of a beautiful surprise & the meaning of her gift.
Have a great week. Hugs, Kathy
P.S. I wanted the hearts in the wagon to look like the mini candy hearts that you eat with small words on them. I was to afraid to write on them in case I messed up the card.
P.S.S. In case you are wondering yes, I made Mimi a wig like I did in this post.

Lily Pad Palette Color Challenge

Strut your stuff
Hello Friends. How are you today?? Are things looking up in 2012 for you? Thank you for your feedback in my 2011 in review post. I so appreciate it & I will address all of your requests!!
I have good news...Lily Pad is ready to resume' it's color challenges & I hope you will have a chance to play along :)
What do you think of the colors?? If you click on over to Lily Pad you will see another color palette this week & the DT's inspiring cards. Keep in mind that you do NOT have to use all three colors and you are free to add your own. These are designed as a jumping point for you.
I thought the free flowing tail was so fun on this peacock by "Crafts Lounge". For some reason I wanted to give my colored pencils and chance to prove themselves again. When I finished coloring I used a Dove Blender to soften the pencil lines. Then a white gel pen was a must to add some dots. The stitching was super easy with the this and this Sometimes I like to use the Tim Holtz ruler because the holes are closer together. The nice thing about the sew easy pink thing is it has lines that guide me so I get a nice and straight line with my holes. All I do is tape down the ruler so I don't get any movement.
As you might remember I will bring you a simple card to share with you as well. I saved time not coloring the tail and cut it off. Super easy layering made this fast and easy. The left over turquoise floss was used to create the flower. Just coat it with Glossy Accents and it gets nice and stiff. I made a large flower here the same way.
The trim is a Spellbinder Lace Doily Accents. Let me know if you have any questions.  If you have a  second check out this giveaway...a beautiful Penny Black stamp. Let me know if you have any questions and thank YOU for your visit. Have a great weekend. Hugs, Kathy

Card Supplies:

Spot Coloring with Penny Black

Hello Friends, One of Penny Black's new designers (Kelley Eubanks) loves to do spot coloring. This week on the Penny Black Blog spot coloring is the feature and I am thrilled to participate on the PB blog today. I am sharing two cards because each week I will bring you a more simple version of my card.
I love this sweet image called "Kisses" and I feel like "spot coloring" really brings out the charms of this sweet girl. All of the flowers on the card were die cut from Spellbinder's GRAND Flowers and the boarder too. The sentiment is from SRM stickers. The tiny butterfly's are my favorite butterfly punch...they are from Martha Stewart
Especially For You
This card was super quick and super fun. Copic colors are:
RV10, R32, E35, E50.
I just had to add some dots and lines to the dress. See the trim on the dress edges and I embellished with a Copic 0.03 multiliner. I added "stars" to the dots that were on the dress (really little lines that are super easy with the right marker). Instead of Christmas cards I am sending out Valentine cards so I will eventually be doing a video on coloring this image. Also if you sent me a card I will be sending you one in Feb.
I hope you had a chance to check out  my post below....

a year in review and a request for your feedback.
I hope your year has started off in a good way & THANK You fo your visit! Hugs, Kathy

P.S. I think I need to take a class on white balance photography. The sweet image looks so much softer in person and not as yellow as it appears in these photos.
