I Love You
Hello Sweet Friends,How are you? I am happy to bring you two cards that are being featured on The Penny Black Blog today. The card on the right is the more simple version of my first card using this brushstroke background stamp from Penny Black. For the card on the left I stamped the "Hearts All Over" with StazOn Teal Blue on white card-stock. I added more color to the hearts by coloring them with Copic markers.

I Love You
Five coats of Glossy Accents we applied to four of the hearts (after coloring all of the hearts). You must wait for each coat to dry completely before adding the next layer so plan ahead :)
When you are satisfied with your hearts dimension add a final layer of Crackle Accents.
I hope you get a chance to try this. The dimension is so cool with the multi layers.
The background sentiment is from this transparent set & was stamped with this ink, then embossed with Clear Embossing powder. (The idea was for the words on the background card stock to be shinny like the hearts on the front.)
I Love You
Using a spellbinder circle I die cut a hole on scrap paper that fit my card base. Stamp on top of the open area with this ink centering one of the hearts in the open area. After the ink dries color the center heart and the area around the heart. Apply Crackle Accents to the heart and let dry. (On this card I skipped the multi layers so it was super fast to create.) Don't forget to stamp your sentiment with the teal ink.
I was tempted to rub the hearts with some red ink to stain the cracks but, didn't want to make them to prominent. I hope you are enjoying seeing two cards on each post and I say it all the time but, I mean it each time too. Thanks so much for your visit. Hugs, Kathy

Hero Arts Hostesses Blog Hop

Hello,  friends! Welcome to Hero Arts week long 2012 catalog blog hop with the Hero Hostesses! This is the first renunion that I have ever looked forward to attending and it's so nice to see all of my friends.Today, you be arriving from the talented & sweet SHARON DUNN's photostream.
If not, or if you happen to discover any broken links, you can always find the master link list for the hop
HERE. Also, please be sure to report any broken links to Tami by clicking HERE. Thanks!
If you are new to my blog each of my posts will showcase two cards. One super simple and the other one.....well... more a bit detailed. For both cards I used this "Large Flower Background" and this fun sentiment set all from Hero Arts.
This simpler card was inspired by this class called "Clean & Simple Card Making" The class has such great ideas and is so incredibly inspiring.  There is still time to register & take advantage of discounts etc.
You can find the flower pot here. I stamped the background on the flower pot and colored it easily because I already had my colors selected from the previous card. The center flower was just cut out from the background after I stamped it once more.
For the center oval I traced a Spellbinder racetrack oval and cut out the insides of the oval. The Copic colors I used are linked below this post. To get lots of dimension I used Scrap Dots behind the face of the card. If they are sold out it's worth the wait. Just be sure to wait over night for the Scrap Dots to dry. If you like my coloring you will find some of my tips here and I will be doing more videos.
Thanks so much for joining me today, and thanks to Hero Arts for hosting the best renunion I have been to plus I can attend with my sweats on.
Your next stop is the famous, talented and big hearted Virginia Lu's blog, and I know she has something amazing to show you! Have fun hopping!
