Givewaway - Sept Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp

Simon Say's Stamp SEPT card kit
Hello Friends, How are you this sunny day?? I am so happy I was able to whip up these fun cards for my nephews with the NEW and FUN Simon Say's Stamp September Card Kit.
Speaking of giveaways did you see my Copic giveaway here?
This is the full kit in all it's glory. Love the little chalk board, stamp set, envelope, washi tape, papers etc. So full of value too!
The gift card envelope was so beautiful... I set out to make two cards with it  :) I cut the "envelope" at the seams to separate it into two pieces.  The washi tape was the perfect color for a boarder with this Spellbinder labels die cut. All you need to do is tape several strips of the washi on some card stock and die cut away. Love the look and feel of something other than paper.

Notice the elephant?? It was on the front of that perfect to die cut it and let it stand out on it's own. The sentiment is from stamp set included in the card kit! See the supply list below if you want to purchase that separately.

The bonus of die cutting is you always get an extra part of you cut carefully. This is my bonus card.
What do you have cooking in your part of the world?? Here's a snap of our construction...I loved the group of ladders. Thank YOU so much for continuing to stop by. Hugs, Kathy

Hello Friends, How are you today?? Just a quick post to share tonight. Before we get started I thought I would tell you that we aren't moving... now... until the end of October!! I am so ready to move but, will be happy to put off that stressful part of moving.
With that said how about this adorable image? Have you see this stamp called "Little Loveosaurus"? Have you seen the latest "wobble" springs?? I thought one would be perfect for this guys it moves and shakes. So fun! Plus the goggly eyes roll with the head action.
I love this die cut from Simon Says Stamp. Here is another card I created with it. Speaking of Simon Says Stamp...HAVE YOU SEE THEIR BACK TO SCHOOL SPECIALS! Check them out here. PENS AND MARKERS ARE 20% OFF THIS WEEK. I love that!
After some simple shading I added white dots with this gel pen and this on the scales. Let me know if you have any questions. I have a box of beautiful new Penny Black stamps that I can't wait to ink up. I think you will love them all. Have a great week! Hugs, Kathy
P.S. I forgot to mention that I slipped a heart under his hand after distressing and embossing it.

washi and die cutting

Using washi tape
Hello Friends, How have you been? Can you believe that it's August already...crazy!! This past week was filled with great memories & fun times because one of my closest friends was here to visit. I hope your summer has been filled with wonderful memories too :)

I had so much fun making these washi clouds with this die cut from "My Favorite Things" and these happy clouds have been on my desk for weeks! Have you die cut some washi yet?? All you have to do is apply the washi tape to some card stock alternating different tapes and then die cut them. Super easy! I used this Penny Black stamp to jazz up my happy scene and Mimi's eyes really stand out because I used this on them. The sentiment strip is from this from SRM sticker sheet.

This die cut window that comes in two that :)I used the larger one on this card and the smaller size is on my wish list...yes.. I need them both and these matching shutters. I have made many window cards in the past and these window die cuts (from Memory Box) will be a HUGE time saver for me. Have you tried the new Spellbinder M-Bossibilities? Love the deep impression they give and this one you see on my card. They have two different sides that really separates them from any other embossing folder but, you might know that already?? Have you been crafty this summer?? I would love to hear what you have been up to. Thanks for poppin in. Hugs, Kathy

Thought I would share my favorite windwo card that I created last year...check it out here and this one was a fun one for me.
Have you checked out my Copic giveaway

Copic Markers

Copic Giveaway

Hello Friends, How are you today?? I am so excited to bring you a GIVEAWAY today! Slowly I have been replacing my "Ciao" markers with the "Sketch" markers . I decided the best thing to do is to give away my CIAO markers...TWO BUNDLES of markers for my blog readers! I am always so grateful for your support :) If you want to enter the Copic marker giveaway the details will be at the bottom of the post.

Mini Copic Coloring Chart
I always pack some markers with me when I travel and usually just just grab random colors. This color chart is an example how you can pair different color combinations. You don't need to pair numbers up...for example B02 and B04 or B06 when coloring and blending. If you are anxious to try this I suggest starting with a small image because it's easier to blend.  I love the whimsey of this stamp from Lawn Fawn and thought it was perfect for my color chart. Here and here are a few other color charts I have done in the past. I plan on bringing to you more videos once I move... we still are here and should be in our new house end of Sept.

To avoid duplicating colors when shopping for markers I like to use this "Copic" booklet to keep me organized (the book comes in black and white) .I have some friends that refer to their book to select colors before coloring their images. (yes...I do too sometimes)
