blog hop and prizes

Hello Friends, Welome to the "Caring Hearts Card Drive"
If you are arriving from Kryssi Ng's blog (stamp designer extraordinare') you are in the right place. If you want to start at the beginning of the hop go to Vera's blog here. I am sure that you have noticed how many awesome prizes are up for grabs for random comments throughout the hop . A pretty sweet deal!
I am so honored to participate in this hop and lucky to call Vera a friend. Vera is such an amazing woman and to collect cards for the elderly that live in nursing homes I think she has earned her angel wings a few times.
When I saw this  adorable reindeer in this set called "Gnome for the Holidays" in this limited edition card kit I couldn't wait to color the images. (the SSS card kit is one of the prizes up for grabs during the hop)
You must check out the gnome.... I think it would put a smile on anyone's face. The festive papers are from Basic Grey's "Aspen Frost"Collection. White Enamel Accents on the frame & eyes gave my card some extra dimension.
The yummy "goosebumps" make perfect reindeer noses for your holiday cards. The white trimming on my card was so easy because it was prepunched stickers nice. The image was colored with Copic markers. Thanks for taking the time to visit and HOP along with us. Now it's time to hop to Kristy Delman's  blog

another giveaway and creating a background for simon says stamp

Hello Friends, I'm hoping that Hurricane Sandy is behind you without any damage. So much devastation and heart break :(   On a lighter note I am hopeful that your  kiddos (if you have them) will be able to trick and or treat this Halloween.

Today's card was created for Simon Says Stamp's blog . When I tell you I had a blast creating this card that's an understatement. The background was so much fun and the image is a scream.... you can see it all at the Simon Says Stamp's blog. Before you head over....what's Halloween without candy??
How about some blog candy? It's low calorie and you don't have to floss after eating it.
What do you need to do you might ask??
Just hope over to Simon's blog and leave a comment but, please leave me one too so I know that you left one at the Simon blog.(I want to make sure my blog readers win my blog candy)
I will pick a random winner this weekend.
Thanks for your visit. Hugs, Kathy

new studio

Hello Friends, It's me again :) I think after blogging for a few years you can tell that I am a pretty private person? I am so grateful for your support that I couldn't help sharing my new studio with you all. I promise to keep you posted as I add my antiques and all my stuff if you want?
This photo of the new studio is in the bare bones stage. I am looking forward to basking in white space and lots of light. I tell everyone that once I am moved I will roll on the floor cause I am so dang excited!!

The vintage globes on the antique table I shared in Part 1 of my OLD studio. (look in the top left corner on the photo). In Part 2. I shared the antiques I collected and put to use. In Part 3. I showed you my prize antique for my buttons. Part 4. was how I stored my copics and inspiring cards from friends.

It will be fun to see how different everything looks in the new studio and how it all comes together. I can't decide of I should do a large bulletin board again but, feel like I need it all behind me again??

Can you spy the Ikea drawer units??

Thanks for letting me share. Have a great day, Kathy
P.S. I think it's safe to say Thanksgiving WILL be in the new house :)
