A BIG Change in a Friends Careers

My friends husband is going though a big transition with his career and I wanted to make him a special and meaningful card. This colorful DigiKit  by Jen Martakis called “February" was just what I was looking for!! I just happened to have the perfect sentiment for  the words in this kit too....how lucky. I used a different one of Jen’s kits for the bird. Once I printed the bird I stamped it with a woodgrain background stamp in Weathered Wood and distressed the bird in different colors listed below. The clouds are stamped in Hero Arts new chalk ink called Cerulean which is a beautiful blue. Kathy, love the layout and vintage-y feel of this card! What a sweet thing to do for your friend and her husband. I haven't tried my hand at the digi kits yet, but you are really making me want to them a try with your fab cards :)
