For this necklace I used Tim Holtz's Sizzix die, distress ink, grunge board and two Penny Black stamps. All of the supplies are linked below along with instructions if you are interested. If want some other ideas of projects other than cards I have some examples for you. Wine tags here, sentiments in a tube here, gift card holder here, and a FELT gift card along with more wine tags here.
Friday I will announce the winner of my blog candy here.
Cut two sets of Tim's die with water color paper (for layering) then, cut another set from grunge board.
Layout how you want to form the necklace.
I colored the wings with Copics markers so I could get some heavy shading to show up on the necklace once the wings are attached. I used BG45, BG49 and BG18.
The heart pieces were colored with Barn Door distress ink. Stamp the heart with the letter background stamp in Aged Mahogany. All of the blue pieces were stamped with PB's new paisley stamp.
Once everything is dry rim your edges with markers. Add a light coating of rock candy distress stickles to the hearts with your finger or a small brush.
I switched up the way I wanted to layer the heart. I pierced a hole in the wings to insert a jump ring but, it didn't fit so I wedged it between the grunge board and the paper. Add some glossy accents to secure the jump ring in place. Then you can add some pearls or bling to your necklace. I found an old necklace that I don't wear any more for the chain. Do you like the pearls or should I have left the heart more simple. Hummm....
On the wing you can really see the details in the paisley stamp from PB. Soon it will be available in your LLS. A big thanks to the Simon Says DT for your warm welcome and a big thanks to you for visiting my blog. Happy creating! Thanks again! Hugs, Kathy
