Lily Pad Palette Color Challenge

Hello Friends, It's me again  as promised :) with a new color palette challenge from Lily Pad.
Hang in there
I just think this little critter is the cutest...he's a digi image from "Clear Dollar Stamps" and when you click over to Lily Pad they will have the link for you and inspiration from the other DT members.

I just had to break out my favorite Penny Black background stamps for this card and my Martha Stewart glitter. For the sun I used the inverted circle die from Spellbinders and the circles too. (I am always reaching for the circles)

I printed the sentiment on some card stock and used this die to create a decorative tag.

Lots of distressing and I used the glitter for some highlights and some pizazz.

I used Copic markers to color him and a white colored pencil to add highlights.  I had to show you his teeth...this is what happens when you don't brush and floss...lol.... I colored them yellow!! Lots of Glossy Accents on his nose and teeth too. I will be back in a few hours for a blog hop for a wonderful cause....this one so please stop back and see you soon. Hugs, Kathy
Yes there will be great prizes too :)

best wishes

Hello Friends, How are you doing this week?? I can't believe that Thanksgiving is around the corner already! Do you have any projects on your "to do" list for Thanksgiving?? I hope to get some place cards made.

Two days ago  I shared this butterfly (that I drew in my journal) and I was disappointed with the weight of the paper my butterfly was on.  I put some "Studio Gloss" on the BACK of the butterfly before I cut it out & loved the result. I painted a layer (like I would peanut butter on bread)  and once it dried the butterfly felt like heavy card stock!! Soooo cool :)

The die cut is one of the new Spellbinders and the sentiment is SRM stickers. All supplies are listed in the bottom of this post. I'll be back Friday with two cards for a color challenge and a blog hop. Have a happy day! Hugs, Kathy

from our home to yours this season

Hello Friends, For those of you who celebrate Halloween I hope it was a good one. This was the first year my daughter didn't "trick or treat" and it was  a treat not to have to worry about her out there plus I don't need the temptation of all that candy around :)

This week Penny Black brings you their new challenge and feature. Penny Black is show casing the new mimi release all week. I love this house and have so many ideas how to use it. When I created this  very tall card I was going for a subtle holiday card so I don't burn out on Christmas before Thanksgiving..lol

I used Copic markers and a few Tombow markers to color the house. I promise to keep better a list of the marker numbers. Sometimes I color the images when I am traveling and it's impossible to keep track. (This particular house was colored in Italy). I stamped the slate roof twice and popped it with foam dots. All of the windows are coated with Glossy Accents and look so dimensional in person but, I know you have a good imagination and can "see" it.  Last year I explained in detail how I distress my backgrounds here if you are interested.

I was gifted the best white ink on the market and stamped it on vellum to create some smoke from the chimney. Be sure to allow adequate dry time on the ink. You might notice I attached the vellum at the base behind the chimney with a tiny amount of Glossy Accents. I wrapped the top of the vellum on the back of the card and taped it down. The holly on the top of the roof is from this stamp set to add a festive touch to the house.

I would love it if you could hop over to Penny Black and leave a comment there instead of here....only if you were going to leave one. I really am happy that you pop in so happy so please don't feel obligated at all. I can't wait to share a butterfly card I just finished so stay tuned. Thanks for your visit!! Hugs, Kathy
