blog hop simon says stamp new release

Hello Friends, How are you today? I am super excited to be a part of the Simon Says Stamp "Mothers & Fathers 2014 Release Blog Hop". You will be inspired to see the new product and absolutely delighted to hear about the GIVEAWAY!!! For the hop I created two cards with a full card die cut called, "Full Card Love Mum" and added some butterflies from "Butterfly Drift" on this first card. A pop of color & a butterfly on the inside is a happy surprise. The golden shimmer that I sprayed on the card adds some elegance to the pastel colors. You will find a mini tutorial at the end of the post. 

This card I used the same die cut as above but, altered the left side of the die by removing the "mommy" to allow more room for the "Tall Flowers". So fun to transform a die cut to for more options which is possible with a good design ..... that's why I get so excited about Simons releases. The "Butterfly Drift" and the "Tall Flowers" were colored with copic markers.

A mini tutorial for my first card.
1. Die cut the butterfly drift on white card stock & cotton candy, glue together with glossy accents.
2. When dry shake & spray with the beautiful gold shimmer spray.
3. Dry with a heat gun
4. Die cut the full card mum die with mint & white cardstock. Adhere together with glossy accents leaving the white peeking out from under the mint. Spray with the gold shimmer and let dry. Add gold glitter enamel dots and the butterflies.

 Since it's A.B.N.H. second Birthday I had to create TWO cards to celebrate and a butterfly for my pinboard.

I am a huge fan of flowers stamps and these from Hero Arts are so versatile. FOR MY CARDs TODAY I DIDN'T ADD ANY SHADING ANYWHERE on either CARD!! the sentiment and banner are from Simon Says.

Lots of dot action was added with this white gel pen. 

This card was stamped with a blue violet ink and colored with copic markers. Much faster to color and again NO blending... easy beginner coloring :) I have two layers of vellum under the sentiment so it would stand out. I added details with a fine tip wink of stella glitter marker.

cardstock day 2

Hello Friends, I back with a super quick post today because I'm trying to accomplish this on my phone. This card is my day two  of what I'm calling "my cardstock card" not a very clever title but, I hope you will like the card.
