Giveaway-Simon Says Stamp's Card Kit

I loved all the papers and wanted to use everything in this kit so I decided to create a card set where the recipient can get a little crafty by decorating the enclosed card bases with hand made embellishments and sentiments inside this clear box.


June's card kit has TWO stamps sets, a few real vintage papers, stickels, heart brads and beautiful pins and more!! I am always amazed by the value of these kits.

The first card is complete in the gift pack so they can  see an example of what they can do with the hearts and sentiment banners.


I love the way this Spellbinder die really stands out. I did add this kraft paper to the kit's papers and I must mention this thick and delicious white paper that is in June's card kit. The weight of 120 lbs is perfect for one layers cards especially when coloring with markers because it won't show any bleed through of colors. Pretty cool!



I will explain how I created this heart embellishment and the glittery sentiment in the mini tutorial below.


Don't you love these sentiment banners?? This Simon Says exclusive will be available for purchase next month.) I love the weight of this paper and began by stamping the banner with this, this and this chalk ink then I stamped the hearts. When the ink was dry I stamped the sentiments in with this back ink for a sharp and crisp image.



It's easy to select your papers because they are all beautiful. Layer them up and round a few corners. You might notice that I ended up cutting of a few inches from the top and will share what I made with my "scraps" soon. I should mentions that after you layer use this die to cut the center out then mix the center die cuts up and add the new layer on the card bases.



This beautiful iridescent stickles comes in the card kit. I brushed the stickles on most of the hearts and all of the sentiment banners after trimming them. Be sure to rinse you brush right away and it will last a long time.



This photos give you an idea of how pretty the stickles looks on the banners. LOVE these fonts too!



I trimmed the hearts to leave a white boarder so they are larger and stand out more. I applied Glossy Accents to each heart as you can see on the top heart. I recommend you let it dry over night.



These are the card bases in my gift pack.



These are all of the glittery sentiments and hearts in my gift pack. Some of the hearts are tied with the twine, some have glossy accents and some just glitter from the stickles.
The recipient just has to add a heart and sentiment of their choice so this way they feel apart of the creative process.



When you look at the way I decorated the box you will see that I die cut some hearts and used the beautiful vintage paper in the SSS card kit. I wanted to give the doily & vintage papers some body & strength so I brushed on this and let it dry while I was packing the box.
