tim holtz stamps

Lately finding time to finish a card has beed difficult but, I was happy to get one of the stamps on a card. Love how a key and padlock are symbols of many things. New home, love message, etc.
One of my favorite things to do is to stamp a background and add a little color with some Copic markers. If you don't have RV10 in your collection ... you don't know what you are missing :) It's one of my top 10 colors.
What good is white paper without some distress ink? I added Spun Sugar and Pickled Raspberry.  You may notice that there was a little orange left on my inking tool but, that was perfect for me to have a little orange in my mix.
I use this marker to remove the white edges of a stamped image. For this project I wanted to add the black edge because the pinks would pop more off of my card. What I love about the Memento marker is NO more smudges.
Behind the padlock and key is this beautiful embossing folder. The frame was cut from Spellbinders Labels 14. So often I need a card without a sentiment so I opted to leave this one blank. Glossy Accents were added before I layered my card. The area where the key goes Glossy Accents was NOT applied. Next on my coloring "to do list" is the new Penny Black stamps! If only I could color all day..sigh! Thanks for your visit today I hope you know it's so appreciated. Hugs, Kathy

Quite amazing how that touch of orange is picked up in your peach/apricot coloured ribbon. Just checked - I do have RV10 & I have to agree with you about the Memento Marker.
