almost complete portrait

Hello Friends, How are you today? Anything new?? Sorry it's been awhile since my last post. I have been having some computer problems that are unresolved and it's so frustrating.
This past weekend I was lucky enough to take a colored pencil workshop from an AMAZING ARTIST! Her name is Suzanne Vigil and if you have a minute to look at her edgy and fun portraits you just might agree. The workshop was hosted by the "Color Pencil Society". Who knew there was such a group! All the ladies in the chapter that I met were talented and so kind.
I thought I would share the colored pencil portrait of my daughter that I worked on this weekend. Suzanne has an awesome technique where you remove the color. If you note the yellow part of the hair ....once I finish it should look similar to the photo using Suzanne's technique. Here is a video from Suzanne if you are interested.
So just to clarify...this is unfinished :) I have to add more color to the cheeks, her neck and all that pony tail holder too. THEN ... I must finish the hair. I look forward to sharing Suzanne's techniques with you on some stamped images. Thanks for your visit today. Hugs, Kathy

I watched the video! For a non-artist like me, artists are like magicians to me ... how you are able to duplicate what your eye sees with pencils, pens, paint, etc! You are doing an amazing job on that photo!! And what a beautiful young lady she is!! thanks for sharing!

A delightful photo of your daughter - she's so attractive. Your work on the portrait is remarkable, it's a mystery to me how what the eye sees can be transformed through the fingers & pencil into an exact replica......... Hope the computer becomes well again.
