sunshine

Hello Friends, How are you? Are you starting to feel a squeeze on summer as we round the corner to August? I know I am!
Today I thought I would share a few cards with one of my favorite dies from Simon Says Stamp called, "Sunshine". I guarantee that it will continue to bring you sunshine for every season.
These bright strips of castaway scraps came in handy to create my card. I trimmed them so they were the same width and taped them together on the back. Do this twice, then die cut one of them. For the background FLIP the colored strips to give you a fun geometric graphic twist on your card. I used this for the banner and this for my sentiment from SRM stickers.
(I used pop dots so the sunshine die cut would stand out therefore, my lines don't look like they line up in the top photo but, they do)
These graduation cards were fun and fast to pull together using the same dies and banners. The sentiments and grad hats are from SRM stickers
More of the same on this card except I cut up the sunshine banner to resemble rays of light coming from some fireworks. Just a fun look :)
If you want to see more cards using the Sunshine die cut check out this and this.
Here's to hoping that you have some snap, pop & bang in your day. Hugs, Kathy

P.S. Did you see my giveaway here (form the Hero Arts blog hop) or the card kit giveaway here from Simon Says Stamp?

What a clever technique, Kathy! I love the way you used the colored strips to create a single piece of paper.

Wow! You made some amazing things with that die!
I also wanted to stop by to say hi and how nice it was to meet you at CHA. I was very nervous and a bit overwhelmed by emotions, and talking to you really helped me feel more relaxed :)
I hope your son brought back some great memories from Barcelona.
Sending hugs from Bolivia!
