STAMPtember® blog hop with Simon Says Stamp

Hello Friends, It's me again and a big warm welcome to the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® Blog Hop! I am so excited that you are here :)

Here are some tid bits about Simon Says Stamp that are well worth the read.

Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an interest in exclusively selling rubber stamps. It didn’t take long until we realized we couldn’t stop there.During the past 11 years we celebrate rubber stamping in its full glory by giving access to people around the world to a one stop shop.Rubber stamps still remain the heart of our business and we are celebrating by hosting a “STAMPtember®” event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the greatness of rubber stamping.Part of the enticement of rubber stamping is that stamps can be used in creating or complimenting ANYTHING!From stamping dates on bank documents and postage parcels in the early 18th century, rubber stamping has dramatically expanded to include card making, life documenting, art journaling, scrapbooking, mixed media & many forms of altering and expressing art.
I am super EXCITED to be included in the 4th annual Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® blog hop event! We are 'hopping' along sharing some great projects featuring the new STAMPtember® product releases! (This is one of the biggest releases to date and features new stamp sets, dies and stencils - the newest addition the Simon brand of products.)
I have been working with the stencils, dies and stamps all week and find it hard to stop & let life fit in. In my opinion the stencils are the "new background stamps" They cost less, easier to store and it's quick to add a more artistic look to your backgrounds. I suggest you try some and I think you will agree with me. This is a good segway for my first card. The background was created with 2 of the stencils from the release.
CARD NUMBER ONE:
I can't tell you how excited I was to see this large die cut called, "Big Hello" it has my name written all over it .. If I could buy each of you this die cut I would!  A request was made immediately to Simon for more of these big words.
If you click on this pdf photo you can see it larger and print it too. Notice I wrote the name of the stencil on top with a Sharpie. Ahh....yes I am feeling the love for flowers. I used this and this for the background with a dauber. This is perfect storage for all of the daubers.
Seriously I love this die cut! It was fun to use two different colors of the new distress glitter. I applied Glossy Accents then poured on the glitter. The best tip I have is IF YOU SPRAY THIS ON AFTER THE GLITTER DRIES THE GLITTER WILL STICK WITHOUT SHEDDING. Under the word die cut is the 40lb vellum that I always use. The white dots were added with my favorite gel pen that ALWAYS works.
supplies card number 1:

CARD NUMBER TWO:

If you know me .... you know that I can use a bad work or two on occasion and when the mood strikes me right! So with that said you can imagine that I LOVE THIS STAMP SET called, "Naughty Nautical" . I set out to make it as elegant as possible with Kelly Purkey sequins
After stamping with Memento Luxe ink I used some flocking to add a nice soft touch... super cool! Using this will make adding the sequins a snap. The window was created with this Apothecary die.
supplies card number 2:

CARD NUMBER THREE:
Playing with more flowers makes me seriously happy. This stamp set called, "Whimsical Flowers" is easy to use for paper piecing or coloring.  I used these matching stencils with some squeezed lemonade distress ink. The new die cut called, "Circle on a Line" was a fun way to build my background.
I altered the whimiscal flower to shape the flower in three different sizes so you can stack or layer them. ALSO the flower has a matching die cut!! (click on the Pdf to print or enlarge) After coloring with Copics I added some texture with this solution and a rag. After drying the flowers I used this distress ink with this stencil. Please email me if you have any questions about any of the cards.
