Ornament Card

Ornament Card

The Challenge for Hero Arts this week is to make a simple Holiday card. I was inspired by all the artists this week and Lucy's penguin tags so I just had to purchase this penguin digi kit. I downloaded the penguins and chose one to print on heavy card stock. I have to really force the paper into my printer for it to print. Then I cut out the penguin , mount it on my scrap(just happened to be stamped with the pine tree). Cut with a circle out of cardboard and adhere it to the back of the images so it will be heavy and sturdy. Then I used "UTEE" Ultra thick embossing powder on the ornament. After four coats the area is covered and smooth. I had a package of 30mm hoop (for earrings) that I attached between the red circle and the circle with the penguin. This ornament will hold up and can be removed easily from the card. I hope you get an idea of the thickness and dimension. Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,Kathy

CIMG1204

I REALLY WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU WHO REACHED OUT AND MADE A CARD FOR ERIC,AND OR HIS SIBLINGS AND PARENTS. I'M SORRY TO SAY THAT ERIC PASSED AWAY TONIGHT PEACEFULLY. PLEASE HOLD THE OSMAN FAMILY IN YOUR PRAYERS.

IF YOU STILL WANT TO MAKE A CARD OF A DIFFERENT KIND JENNIFER WAS CLOSING THE DRIVE ON THE 31ST.

I RECEIVED THIS EMAIL FROM ERIC'S MOM BEFORE HE PASSED EARLIER TODAY.
"I just wanted to tell you that we received a bundle of cards and this was just the coolest thing ever. Thank you so much for sharing this with us... truly. We had so much fun opening these. Rachel and Jacob were excited to take cards up and "show" them to Eric. This was very very meaningful."

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! AND THE BIGGEST THANK YOU TO JENNIFER! NOT ONLY IS SHE A CREATIVE GENIUS BUT, SHE HAS A HEART OF GOLD!

Sorry for all the posts today!

You Make My Heart Happy

A friend of mine told me her secret to get the pictures on my blog larger and more sharp! (so exciting) The quality was driving me crazy so I had to edit a few older posts. For this card I had a spare butterfly from the Embellish Magazine Challenge so I thought I would make another card for the same challenge. I have just the person to give it to. If you are wondering about the glossy goodness on the butterfly it's Glossy Accents...I love that stuff. Have a great night! :)
The butterfly stamps are Hero Arts CG130 (3 images)
Paper is from PapertreyInk Rasberry Fizz and Smokey Grey
Ink: Memories White & Momento Tuxedo Black
Various Pink Copic Markers and Hero Arts Heart Gems

Lots of fun stamping and coloring and all the stamps are from Hero Arts. I had so much fun creating a larger chimney and coloring the bricks and piecing the roof together. Thanks for looking!

Here is my tip #6. In my teaser card I stamped my image with distress ink and then colored with the Copics. Click on the card so you can see the dimension...so easy to blend colors with the Copics markers on the canvas and I love the shine it leaves too. Thanks for stopping by!
