DAY THREE with vellum ...flowers accents

IMG_2775

Hello Friends, How are you this Sunday?? Today I am sharing the project that I created for the "Master Class" in the Papercraft Inspirations magazine ... a feature on vellum.

If you want to leave a comment I will select a winner for this bag of yummy vellum flowers the weekend of the 16th so please check back.

When I first laid my eyes on these Spellbinder flowers I knew I had to have them and I so enjoyed creating all of these layered flowers. The vellum between some of the layers really make the flowers stand out. I also distressed almost every petal and that really made the papers more rich looking and it was easy to do with a dauber....so worth the effort. :)

Basically you die cut, distress with a dauber and layer with Scrap Dots. Easy and great to do while you are watching TV. For the packaging below I stamped "Happy Holidays" on red paper, scored some lines onto the vellum and assembled the layers. Have you see my other vellum posts?? DAY ONE and DAY TWO?  All the Spellbinders, Penny Black, Basic Grey, buttons, scrap dots,  etc. that I used for my Paper Crafts Inspiration feature is in my blog candy package here.

Have a great week and thanks for your visit I am always grateful! Hugs, Kathy

What a super idea to layer the vellum with the paper flowers. I must admit I too tend to ink the edges of flowers & have recently got myself some sponge daubers as I was forever getting inky fingers with the cut'n'dry foam little snippets I used. The way you have used buttons for the flower centres is super & the stitching adds lovely detail.
