| Hello Friends, How are you? Is your week off to a good start? I am popping in today with a quick post. I wanted to share a fun way to make a color chart of the inks and or papers that you like to use on a regular basis. In my case these are the new inks with matching papers from Simon and I want to keep them at arms length. A long time ago I made a color chart for my distress inks. You can check it out here. |

Beautiful colour chart. I love matching papers and inks. I have some very old Stampin Up ones. Time for some new inks and some matching papers would be nice. Will look into the simon ones. Thanks for sharing.
stunning way to keep track of your colours.
Beautiful card Kathy!! the card looks so gorgeous!!
LOVE your canvas. What a brilliant idea to show the new colour card stock and matching inks. Love what Simon has done with the line.I may have to get out some of my inks and play to make a canvas so I have something lovely in front of me. Love the matching things. Thanks. Karen
Lovely design. I love matching ink and card stock - makes creating so much easier!
Great butterflies! Of course I love to match paper and ink (and embellies too!)
Oh, yes! That is half the battle of making a card work for me. If I have matching inks/papers it is so much easier to create a card that I like.
I recently bought a lot of inks to try this technique. I find that is has an elegant and subtile effect, though so simple to make:) The new SSS release is perfect for this! TFS!

Fun and creative project Kathy, I do like to match inks with paper. The design process goes easier that way too!!!

I love your idea and I just bought the Paulina Butterfly die, so I am going to do this idea this weekend. And yes I love things to match - I find the paper pads are a great "go-to" for card making.
I do love having matching inks and card stocks. Everything comes together so nicely that way.
I love matching inks and papers - so thrilled that SSS is now doing a range of them. Love your colour chart too.

Love this card and your technics, as always!!! Thanks!
I love the idea of making something really useful that's also pretty enough to hang on the wall. I made a color chart but stuck it in my binder where I catalog my stamps. I really need to work on making things just to please myself in addition to dutifully making greeting cards for others.

the butterflies look super with their matching cardstock - I'd definitely need to have colour charts of these whilst working. How I wish Simon Says Stamp might have an outlet in the UK. I love working with monochrome colour schemes so my answer to your question is a resounding YES.
