stretch your stamp and giveaway

Hello ... hello friends, Anything new with you?
It's that time of month I love because I have a GIVEAWAY.... one of Simon Says Stamp wonderful card kits. Meet January 2014 Card Kit. What's not to love when the kit is packed full of beautiful papers, fun embellishments and a stamp set that never disappoints.
Click here if you want to join monthly for only $19.95
The second I laid eyes on this three eyed monster I knew that I had to color him but, he/she would be great to paper piece. Some freckles were added with a white gel pen. The boarders & background were stamped using the new Simon inks!!
When you fall in love with a stamp you need more of it right? So... below I show you how I made her (note the beauty mark) taller. I do have to say the background I am not so happy with but, sometimes you just have to let go :)
One way to do this is ink up your stamp then wipe off & dry the portion you don't want to stamp. Or you could cover the part you don't want to stamp with sticky paper. After stamping the feet and the body draw a line to connect the feet to the body with a Copic friendly marker like this or a fine tip Sharpie will work too . If you use a ruler you might find that the leg is unnatural looking...to straight.
Have a great weekend and a happy day. Thank you for popping in. Hugs, Kathy

P.S. Did you see my post were I gave a bird legs? So fun to make these little changes.
GIVEAWAY DETAILS: Just leave me a comment and I will pick a random winner Jan 1st. If you subscribe to the card kit you will be refunded for the full amount of the card kit.
