giveaway simon march card kit

Hello Friends, What's new? Are  you watching & enjoying the Olympics?
In the meantime.... another month has slipped by and it's time to check out Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit. As always this kit is chock full of yummy elements, papers and a beautiful stamp set. You can subscribe for only $19.95 here. The best part is you can opt out any month!
I have a SSS MARCH CARD KIT TO GIVEAWAY TO A LUCKY WINNER. I WILL ANNOUNCE  a RANDOM WINNER ON FEB. 27TH.
In order to win you must check back here. Another winner will be selected if I don't hear from the winner within seven days. Worried you might miss the announcement? ... maybe you want to subscribe to my blog so you don't miss the announcement? One of my readers brought to my attention that it's not really cool to ask for an email address and I agree. This why I am asking you to check back. On my giveaways in the future I will use InLinkz and or Rafflecopter . My intent was to make it as easy as possible to enter my contests but, I realize an extra step is for your protection. Thanks for your understanding and email me if you have any questions. Thanks!
Simons March Card Kit just sings happy, rainbows and sunshine and it's called, "Color and Sunshine"! For the rainbow I wanted to do something different than the ordinary. I created a patten with the rainbow instead with the luscious glass ink.

I grew up loving crayons and to this day love the smell and the memories that the smell brings. Naturally I was going to fall in love with the card kit stamps set & in case you didn't know it can purchase it separately. Woo Hoo! Don't you love the crayon stamp? L.O.V.E!!
Lawn Fawn has the best mini patterns on their paper. I added some watercolors to the crayons that I stamped for some depth. Glossy Accents on the tips of the crayons.
This card is what I call just pain fun because I was doodling a bit on it!! Nice break to use some of these water color pencils. This is a must have to blend and to do away with the water.

Another butterfly for my pin board. Woot!
Let me know if you run into questions on this tutorial. Just in a rush today. The biggest tip is to use some scrap paper to clean your tip before going on the next color. I hope it's a good weekend...what's left of it. AS always thanks for your visit. Hugs, Kathy

your my type

Hello Friends, How are you doing? Braving the cold or hot temps? Today I am popping with a super quick post with a card and two butteries for my pin board.
The sweet typewriter is one of the stamps from Simon Says Stamps newest release. The flowers are from the February Card Kit.
I always enjoy stamping a background especially when the ink matches the paper. Love this "Sea Glass ink!" Note: I carried the stamped background pattern onto the white card stock.
This Micro pen made it possible to draw letters on the typewriter keys. Wink of Stella pen was used on the heart and then I applied Glossy Accents to the keys and heart.
For each image I colored on my card ... I stamped an extra image to color on a blank butterfly for my pin board. The typewrite is from this stamp set.
I masked off the flowers when I created this butterfly and colored all the images for today with Copic markers. You can find the flower stamp set here. Let me know if you have any questions and a big thanks for your visit today. Hugs, Kathy

pieces of me for my pin board

Hello Friends, How are you today? Today I am excited to share a little part of my studio and some....what I call little pieces of me.
Every time I stamp an image for a card I will also take a minute to stamp the same image on one of these butterfly die cuts from Simon Says Stamp. You will see why below the butterflies.
Each butterfly in today's post is from this stamp set from Penny Black. I was tickled pink and blue to finally get some time to sit down and color with my markers.
You will be surprised how a stamp can give you a new look when you don't see the full image.
This area is behind my desk and it's all spruced up for you. Mind you the pin board is "in progress" Soon it will be entirely filled from edge to edge with white blank butterflies.

(The "create" fabric letters are from Anthropologie & the pin board is from Restoration Hardware.)
Hopefully by this time next year my pin board will be complete with little pieces of me. In this photo you can see I have begun this fun project. Do you have any fun projects planned for the new year?
Let me know and I will announce a random winner for a goodie bag on Jan 19th. Thanks for your visit today. Hugs, Kathy
